Crucible in Zambia

Fast-growing economies have well-educated leaders.

Our story

Unlocking Africa’s potential for global impact

The Crucible team believes that Africa can make a big impact on the world economy. By using Africa's rich resources, culture, diversity, and talent, Crucible wants to train leaders who can solve problems that affect economic growth, social welfare, migration, and climate change

The importance of strong secondary education for Africa's Growth

At Crucible, we know that strong secondary education is key for fast development. Countries that have grown quickly have leaders who are well-educated in all areas of their economies. These leaders overcome challenges even in tough situations. Crucible Lusaka is our first school to help meet this need. Crucible graduates will be excellent students with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of how they can help their communities and Africa.

Founder’s scholarships for outstanding students

We believe that all excellent students should have the chance to receive world-class education, no matter their background. That’s why we are offering founder’s scholarships to all students in our first cohort.

Crucible Lusaka: A New Era of Education in Zambia

The first Crucible school, Crucible Lusaka, will open in Zambia in February 2025. It will start by educating senior secondary students and later expand to junior secondary. Students will take Cambridge International AS and A level exams to help them get into top universities around the world. They will study a focused STEM curriculum, which will be tested, along with Crucible’s Arts curriculum, which will not be tested. This will help them develop the skills and knowledge needed to make a lasting change in Africa.

Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen.
