Opportunities at Crucible Lusaka
Crucible is an ambitious initiative to catalyse the creation of 100 world-class schools for remarkable teenagers across Africa by 2045. These schools aim to make a lasting, transformational impact on African economies in the 21st century by substantially expanding the number of outstanding future African leaders.
The first school, Crucible Lusaka, launches in February 2025 in Lusaka. Initially focusing on senior secondary students, the school will later expand to include junior secondary education. Students will prepare for Cambridge International A Level examinations with a focussed STEM curriculum, complemented by Crucible’s innovative Arts curriculum. Leadership development will be at the heart of the school, delivered through a rich programme of extracurricular activities in a dynamic boarding school environment.

Liberal Arts Curriculum Coordinator
Very rarely do opportunities present themselves where you can be part of the creation of a new curriculum in a new school, one that will be the foundation of a group of schools across Africa. The successful candidate will need to be an embodiment of Crucible’s philosophy, inspiring students through their love of learning and deep interest in their subjects.

Graduate Internships
Are you a recent graduate looking to make an impact? Crucible Lusaka is offering internship opportunities in economics and liberal arts to work with 30 of Zambia’s brightest students, supporting them in Economics or the Liberal Arts. Interns receive return airfares, accommodation, and a stipend for a minimum three-month stay. This is a unique chance to help shape Africa’s future leaders.
