Mrs. Yande S. Mwenye is the current and second female President of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) since its establishment as an act of parliament 42 years ago. ZICA is a membership body regulating the Accountancy profession in Zambia.

Alongside this leadership role, she holds the position of Managing Partner of Crowe Zambia, where she stands as the sole female leader of an international audit practice in the country. Crowe Zambia is part of the Crowe global network that is ranked 9th in the world with a presence in over 130 countries and 250 offices.

Yande is a distinguished fellow of both Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA), bringing forth a wealth of experience accumulated over 21 years across diverse continents, including Zambia, Australia, Norway, and the Channel Islands of the United Kingdom. Her experience is drawn primarily from her time with one of the big four audit firms. She is also a member of the Institute of Directors in Zambia (IOD).

Beyond her professional roles, Yande actively serves on the boards of First National Bank (FNB) Zambia, where she chairs the audit committee, and the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM), where she serves as treasurer. She is also the co-owner of a real estate company Monyx Estates Limited with portfolios in the commercial and residential sectors. She is also a member of the UN Global Compact.

Yande is passionate about education and believes that access to quality education improves one’s life, positively impacts our communities, and overall improves a nation’s economy.
